Henry Sheldon

CEO & President

Henry Sheldon is the CEO and President of Freight Management Systems, Inc. (FMS), a leading software development company specializing in transportation management systems and transportation logistics software.  With a career spanning more than 20 years, he joined the company in 1998 as Chief Technology Officer, during which time he designed multi-user enterprise software and developed revenue-generating products.

Growing up in a family-owned transportation business where he quickly realized his love for technology, Henry has followed his passion to design and lead teams of software developers in the logistics industry.  A computer programmer, information junkie, and weekend outdoors-man, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.  A graduate from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, Henry holds a B.S. degree in information technology.

Julie Robinson

Senior Director of Customer Success

Bringing more than a decade of experience in customer service and logistics, Julie Robinson enjoys solving problems and learning how systems work at Freight Management Systems.  As Senior Director of Customer Success, she appreciates and demonstrates the value of process in all communications, ensuring her customers are set up for success in using FMS software products. Outside of the office, Julie enjoys spending time with her friends, traveling, exploring all that South Florida offers, especially its beaches, concerts, and festivals.

Carol Pappalardo

Director of Customer Support

As Director of Customer Support at Freight Management Systems, which she joined in 2004, Carol Pappalardo is responsible for identifying customer issues, as well as helping develop and implement best practices for transportation management systems (TMS) software for her clients’ various needs.  Prior to FMS, she worked at numerous transportation-brokerage companies for over 20 years.  Outside of work, she loves spending time with her husband and family, with whom she enjoys local community outings, dinners, and old movies.

Ely Bascoy

Director of Software Engineering

Ely Bascoy is Director of Software Engineering for Freight Management Systems, which he joined in 2017, spearheading a team of programmers to develop ever-evolving solutions for the company. As a multi-language developer with a relentless drive to learn, he has been programming for over a decade and is well-versed in various technologies and database engines.

Ely holds an associate’s degree in applied science in computing and information technology from College of Southern Nevada. Additionally, he earned an associate’s degree of applied science in sound recording and English from Miami-Dade College. A music producer, composer, and performer, Ely is the lead singer in a rock band, which frequently plays in the Miami area.

Laura Reed

Lead Customer Training Specialist

As the company’s Lead Customer Training Specialist, Laura Reed joined Freight Management Systems in 2018, where she spearheads the company’s training and testing teams. Hailing from Medford, Oregon — the country’s “transportation broker capital” — she managed a large brokerage for many years and is a certified broker with the Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA), the professional organization of the $162 billion third-party logistics industry.

From the unique perspective as both a client, as well as a transportation broker, Laura has extensive knowledge of LOADPlus, a transportation-management system designed to increase efficiency by empowering the transportation broker to match loads with carriers. When she’s not at work, Laura enjoys spending time with family, travelling, and crafting.
